Come to MAMA!

Oki everyone now it's time for "yo mama jokes".. or not really

Some of you are interested in what kind of tools we use. Brian has made a blogpost about an internal search tool. We use it to find information and sites where we can test Web technologies. In short, MAMA is a miner, a database, an analyzer, and a search engine. It indexes not the content of a Web page as "traditional" search engines, but everything else (markup, scripting, etc.).

9.52 August Snapshot

Coming back from a two week vacation just to find the office half empty because the others have gone on vacation is a bit boring, but at the same time it is very relaxing, giving me a slow start.... The boring part is that so little happens at work when people are on vacation. While I was expecting to make a small changelog this time, I didn't expect it to be this small. Anyway, give the build a spin, we're closing in on 9.52 final now.

WARNING: These are development snapshots: they contain the latest changes, but they also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, they may not work at all.

Changelog
  • Readded the Windows shell menu to the Transfer context menu
  • Fixed an issue with lists not displaying correctly when text rendering is RTL
  • Fixed opening of files in external applications when disk cache is off
  • Fixed issue with low quality on YouTube video previews
  • Fixed mail appearance when Opera is installed in a folder with a "#" character in its name
  • Fixed RealPlayer on BBC

Turtle Wax

300 skin comments in a day :hat: We have tried to polish at least some of
the areas you commented on:

  • Improved contrast between active and inactive tabs in the tab bar
  • Higher contrast for the text on inactive tabs to increase readability, especially on laptops
  • Brighter background in the panels
  • A tiny bit more color: We added the Home button as default by popular demand
  • We tuned the color intensity of the color themes (Tools: Appearance: Color scheme) to be more usable with both this and other skins. Try it out again!
  • Improved visibility of the scrollbars
  • Buttons no longer grow wider when you press them
  • Nicer background for security status on https pages

WARNING: These are development snapshots: they contain the latest changes, but they also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, they may not work at all.

Known issues:
  • Dragonfly does not work when JavaScript is disabled.

Changelog
  • Fixed the panel selector dropdown
  • Fixed all search related bugs in the previous snapshot
  • Changed default Speed dial search engine from Yahoo to Ask
  • Made it possible to set a custom title for the Developer Tools (Dragonfly) Window using in the tool top level document<br />
