Google translator only translate the words, when it translate the words, it then makes no sense. If you are looking for a good translation services, there are alot in the internet (well, for some, it needs payment) which provide a better translation services.

Hello Kyle,

unfortunately the Google Translator plugin v2.4 doesn't work for me with the latest releases of Opera (currently v10.52.3337). I'm using Windows 7 64-bit here, and I have both the 32 bit and 64 bit version of Sun Java v1.6.0.18 installed. The error console of Opera displays the following error message:

Uncaught exception: ReferenceError: Security violation
Error thrown at line 128, column 2 in fTranslate() in widget://wuid-4b955aa5-1ab9-03bf-0214-1f1a1ae98fb7/js/functions.js:
    xmlhttp.send('hl=en&ie=UTF8&text='+text+'&langpair='+langpair+'&hl=en&ie=UTF8');
called from line 1, column 0 in (event):
    fTranslate();

Hopefully this gives you an idea why I'm having issues here.
Thank you and see you soon.

Best regards

Thanks for the quick response and serving an update immediately. The updated plugin works well for me, using it with the latest Opera release v10.10.1893 now.

Thanks again, Kyle.

I've just posted an update (2.4pre5) that should fix the issue you mentioned. I'm going to give it a bit more time for testing purposes before I submit the update to Opera Widgets, but you should see if on the official site soon. Thanks.

Follow up to my previous post:

Another try to illustrate what the result window displays:

["SPAN title="test" onmouseover="this.style.backgroundColor='#ebeff9'" onmouseout="this.style.backgroundColor='#fff'"]Test[/SPAN][/SPAN]

replace "[" and "]" with ""
